v.Flow represents our first release of commercial software based on the grid-free, vortex method, an innovative and patented technology by which incompressible, turbulent flow is simulated in three-dimensions by a time-accurate and physically consistent numerical methodology.

Vorcat v.Flow Extensions

Vorcat v.Particle

v.Particle is an extension of v.Flow that allows simulating particulates that are embedded in the incompressible, turbulent fluid. The software provides the options to treat the particles as scalars (simple advection along streamline), one-way coupling to the flow field (where the fluid exerts forces on the particulates) and two-way coupling (both particulate phase and fluid phase affect each other).

Vorcat v.Heat (Closed Beta)

v.Heat is an extension of v.Flow that allows simulating heat transfer in the context of incompressible, turbulent flows. Similar to the vorticity modeling in v.Flow, the underlying model here uses (additional) heat elements to represent the temperature field.
