Vorcat v.Viz

v.Viz is the visualization partner to all of the Vorcat turbulence modeling software products. All of our post-processing and graphical analysis tools are written in OpenGL to achieve the highest possible performance on your affordable desktop platform.

While designed and optimized for Vorcat data, v.Viz is flexible and adaptable to most non-grid-data formats. Traditional visualization methods such as vector fields and iso surfaces are supported as well as an exciting new technique involving discrete turbulence elements.

Third party post processing tools are not equipped to handle Vorcat's high fidelity solutions comprised of millions of realistically shaded primitives. A more complete overview of v.Viz and its novel approach to CFD visualization can be found in our publications section ("Hybrid Visualization Approach for Vortex Method Simulations").

v.Viz Features

  • Lagrangian modeling of particulates

  • Particle trajectory and tracing capabilities

  • Scalar (free advection–no phase coupling), one-way, or two-way coupling between fluid and particulate phases

  • Multiple choices of drag laws for particulate phase

  • Coupling with radiation, dispersed phase

  • Options for additional physical modeling

  • Options for a variety of boundary conditions

  • Heat transfer between particulates and fluid

  • No additional turbulence modeling required. Time accurate simulation of particulates inturbulent flow is automatic
